How Can I Tell If She’s Ready To Get Married? I’m Ready To Ask Her!

How you can tell if your woman is ready to get married so you know when to ask.

In this video coaching newsletter I discuss an email from a viewer who is new to my website, but is just cherry picking formation from videos and hasn’t read 3% Man yet. He wants to propose to his girlfriend who makes way more than him. He’s focused on his interest in her and is ignoring things she says about marriage and getting married. He’s constantly talking about his future with her and plans to ask her to marry him soon, but he has no idea if she’s ready and asks my opinion. My comments are in bold italics like this below in the body of his email.

Hi, I’m Coach Corey Wayne and this is my Video Coaching Newsletter. And the topic of today’s Members Only Newsletter is going to be, “How Can I Tell If She’s Ready To Get Married? I’m Ready To Ask Her!”

Well, this particular email is from a guy who’s new to my work, and he’s clearly just cherry picking. Hasn’t bothered to pick up 3% Man yet. He’s clearly focused on his high interest in this girl and is ignoring things that she says about marriage. And it’s pretty clear just from the things that she says, she doesn’t seem to be ready.

And since he’s only focused on his interests and her, there is a real chance that if he proposes to her in the near future like he’s thinking about, he’s going to probably get rejected and then be shocked. So this just shows what happens when you only pay attention to your interest in the woman, and you completely ignore her lack of interest in him.

And plus, on top of that, he makes about 150 grand a year and she makes about seven times that. So she’s making somewhere around a million a year and he’s making a buck 50.

So let’s go through his email.

Viewer Email:

Hi Coach Corey,

I am new to your website am absolutely sold on the 3% Man.

Well, it’s not going to help you if you don’t read it. And most of your questions would be totally answered by The Book. But if you’re too lazy to read it, you’re probably going to get rejected when you go to ask her to marry you. Because just from what she’s told you and it sailed right over your head, it sure doesn’t look like she’s ready to marry anybody yet, especially you.

I absolutely loved your article on how to date a woman who makes more than you. I am comfortable with my income of $150K per year but my lady friend makes about seven times that on a normal year.

I almost fell out of my chair laughing at some of your comments in that article. I will never make what she makes and am 100% comfortable with that. My question is about when to ask this lady to marry me.

Well, as I discussed in 3% Man, your job in the courtship is to create an opportunity for sex to happen. To hang out, to have fun, and to hook up when the signs are there that she’s ready to be touched, ready to be kissed, and ready to be seduced. And as far as getting married or moving in together, those are things that you let her bring up.

If she’s not bringing them up or talking about them unprompted by you, then that means she’s not feeling it. So women like you way more if they think that they’re more into you than you are into them. And it’s pretty clear you’re way more into your girlfriend than she’s into you. And you’re totally clueless about that.

We have been dating for almost six months, and I am absolutely convinced she is the one.

It’s like, come on, man, that’s ridiculous. You’re not even past the honeymoon period.

I am not after her money.

Well, why’d you bring it up? And why do you want to get married after six months already. See, this tells me you’re in La La Land. You’re only focused on your interest in her, and you’re not even paying attention to her interest in you. If you read The Book and you follow what’s in it, and you’re dealing with a normal, healthy woman, and not a Froot Loop, she’ll be falling head over heels in love with you. And then she’ll be going, “where is this going? Where do you see us?” Let her be the one to bring these things up.

Because the more you bring up marriage and locking her down and moving in together, especially when she’s not bringing it up at all, the more you lower your chances of actually having a future with her. Because at some point she starts to realize that you’re way more into her than she’s into you, and that typically causes the woman to back off, and when she realizes that. And then usually most guys that don’t know any better start calling, chasing, pursuing, obsessing over, coming off as needy and neurotic and desperate and clingy. And that is the quickest way to dry a woman up.

We are both in our early fifties and she has mentioned she could retire in about two years. We have talked about what life would be like living together and we have been exclusive since our first date.

Probably more likely because it was his idea.

I can’t imagine dating another woman. She has been divorced for almost three years, but I have been divorced less than a year.

Not even a year yet and he’s already ready to marry somebody else. That’s crazy. Take some time, dude, what’s the rush? Was the first divorce a lot of fun that you’re ready to just tee one up, tee a second one. You don’t even know this girl yet.

I had one serious relationship after my divorce, and she has not dated anyone seriously since her divorce.

How could you have a serious relationship if you just got divorced less than a year ago? A relationship of a few months is not a serious relationship. That just sounds like a booty call. You hooked up, you dated for a few months and then you guys went your separate ways.

She has stated she wants to wait before getting married again but we talk about our future regularly.

In other words, he probably brings it up all the time. In other words, so he’s assumed the girl’s role in the relationship and she’s acting like the stoic, successful man. So your sexual polarity is completely flipped and reversed.

I am ready to be engaged.

Well, that really doesn’t matter. The only thing that matters is she ready to be engaged. If she ain’t bringing it up first, then she ain’t ready to be engaged, there’s a good chance that you’re going to get rejected. Now let’s back up to the previous sentence. She has stated she wants to wait before getting married again. She has stated she wants to wait. If she’s telling you she wants to wait before getting married And you’re going “Yeah. I’m ready to get engaged.” You’re not paying attention. You can’t just dismiss that. She wants to wait. You’re ready to get engaged.

I don’t care how long we schedule out the wedding date, but I am convinced she won’t want to live together until we are married.

Well, the reason she wouldn’t want to live together is just because she’s not head over heels in love with you. She may like you a lot, but she’s not completely Goo Goo Gaga over you like you are her. And again, you’re acting more like a girl than you are a man. And you’re acting kind of dopey. You got to take the time. It takes 6 to 12 months just to get through the honeymoon period. And you’re kind of just in the beginning of the honeymoon period, so, that’s not even going to wear off for another 6 to 8 months.

I am 100% on board with that but I want to wake up next to her every morning instead of every once in awhile. I believe she feels the same.

Time out. No she doesn’t. So let’s review that statement again. “I want to wake up next to her every morning instead of every once in a while.” Women vote with their feet. If they’re with you, they voted for you. And if you’re only waking up next to her every once in a while, you’re not that important to her. You’re probably just a booty call. And you’re acting like a little lovesick 15 year old who’s trying to lose his virginity on spring break for the first time.

I believe she feels the same.

How? How could you possibly think that she wants to wake up next to you every day? When currently in your relationship it’s only every once in a while. That right there tells me that you’re only paying attention to your super high interest in her, and you completely don’t give a shit and don’t pay attention, and are not observing the fact that she’s not feeling it. I mean, she’s coming right out and telling you she wants to wait to get married again, and that means she ain’t ready. You’re way far further down the line than she is. So you need to pump the brakes, dude. You need to check yourself before you wreck yourself. Danger, will Robinson.

We have a romantic trip planned for late May/Early June. I plan to ask her to marry me then.

Why? You shouldn’t. You should not. She just has told you she wants to wait until she gets married. And again, because you’re only focused on your high interest in her. You’re ready to stick a ring on her finger even though she’s telling you she ain’t ready. If you read The Book and you apply it when she’s ready, she’s going to be asking you. “Well, I hope we can get engaged soon.” Or, “I was hoping we would get engaged soon, but that’s not happening.”

My question is, how do I gauge if she is ready to say yes?

Well, there’s a chapter in The Book called, “It’s All In The Numbers”. And as you go through that, you will be able to look at all the actions that are indicative of a woman that’s head over heels in love and wants to get married, and a woman who’s got low to mediocre interests. And the fact that, as you said, you’re only waking up next to her every once in a while. That tells me that she kind of perceives you as just an occasional booty call, somebody that she’s kind of keeping at arm’s length because she can tell you’re drooling all over her, you’re all dopey, and you’re only paying attention to your interest and her. It’s a bad way to go, my man.

I am not afraid of rejection, but I am afraid it might ruin our relationship if she is not ready.

Bro. What did she say? She wants to wait before getting married again. If she was ready to be getting married and engaged, she would be bringing it up first. Not just agreeing to it or saying, well, maybe in the future. Again, she’s come right out and told you she wants to wait before getting married again. And yet you believe she feels the same as you say. You’re just guessing. There’s no evidence in here. And as a matter of fact, what you’ve shared based upon her actions, I can tell that she’s not as into you as you are into her.

And if you were to ask her today, there’s probably a 99% chance she’ll reject you and tell you that, no, she’s not ready. She wants to wait a while. Again, a woman who’s in love and ready will be bringing it up all the time. “When are we going to get engaged? Can we go look at rings? Do you think maybe next spring we can get married or engaged?” That’s what she’ll be bringing up. And it’s not happening.

I can wait but I sure as hell don’t want to.

Well, this we know.

I want her to know she is the only woman I want to be with.

I think she knows that already. And it’s partly why she keeps you at arm’s length. Because you’re way more into this than she is into you.

And I want to put a ring on her finger to prove it.

You don’t have to prove anything to a woman that is beta male thinking. You’ve seen too many fucking Disney movies, bro.

Thanks in advance! I hope to have read your book a second time by the time you answer.

Thanks!

Well, hopefully a lot of the blanks got filled in and you start pumping the brakes because it’s March. And unless her attitude completely changes, if you start applying what’s in The Book and she’s normal and healthy, then within 90 days she should be head over heels in love with you and talking about the future and talking about getting engaged. But it has to come from her, and it can’t be because you prompted it, or you keep bringing up the conversation. As the book says, your job is just to create an opportunity for sex to happen. Hang out, have fun, hook up.

And this is why most guys get rejected and get bamboozled by women, because they’re not paying attention to the fact that the girl’s got low interest in them, and she’s not feeling it in the same way that they’re feeling it. And just like he says, he doesn’t want to ruin the relationship if she’s not ready. Because on some level, his Spidey Sense is going, yeah, it’s not the right time. So pump the brakes, keep your money in your wallet. Don’t be taking out your credit card to buy some expensive ring.

You probably should date for 2 or 3 years and maybe even live together for a while before you get married. And again, this woman, the fact that you’re only waking up next to her every once in a while, that tells me your interest in you is not very high. I’d put it at maybe a seven, six, seven, maybe so. And you’re at like a ten, obviously. And so if her interest gets to a nine out of ten, like The Book says, she’ll be bringing it up all the time and then you won’t have to worry about getting rejected.

But that’s why your Spidey Sense is going, “I can’t tell.” But if you would just listen to what she’s telling you, it’s pretty obvious she ain’t ready to get married. But when you only pay attention to your interest in her, that’s how you set yourself up to make huge blunders. So pump the brakes, dude. Check yourself before you wreck yourself. Slow your roll. It’s not a mad dash to the finish line. This is not a Disney movie. This is not how life works. It doesn’t work like it does in the movies, because the movies are all written by a bunch of fucking beta males anyways.
