How To Turn Your Life & Business Around

Would you like to know how to turn your life and business around? Are you currently faced with challenges in your business, life or career?

In this article I will be discussing what you can do to turn around your life, business or career if things have become dull, boring, stagnant or out of balance. I talk to a lot of clients in my coaching practice who feel as if they have hit a wall. They usually are confused, fearful and/or frustrated.

Here is an e-mail from a coaching client of mine who I have just started coaching again. This particular client usually only calls me when he is faced with some really big and seemingly insurmountable challenges. Over the years I have coached him on and off when he has struggled in his dating life. Now, his business is really suffering and he owes the government millions of dollars in back payroll taxes. He is in the construction industry and understandably has struggled these past several years in business. Here is his e-mail:

Hey Corey!

Looking forward to talking with you soon. I would like to sign up for 2 hours of coaching. I am not against breaking the sessions into two 1 hr sessions. I would like to get started asap as I really need to break out of my funk and make some aggressive moves in my business. I also need dating coaching but that will need to take a back seat to work for now.

I am available at the rest of the week at noon Central 1:00 p.m. your time for 1 hr, 7:00 a.m. your time the rest of the week for 2 hrs or 8:00 a.m. for 1 hr, 4:00 p.m. or later your time for 2 hrs the rest of the week or Friday 1:00 p.m. your time or later for two hours.

Next week I’m pretty wide open but I would like to get at least an hour in with you this week to start getting my mojo back!

After talking with my client during a two-hour life and business turnaround strategy session, I learned that he is having trouble motivating himself to go to the office and to work at doing the things necessary for his business to grow and succeed. What usually causes this? Lack of a compelling vision. It’s that simple.

He has trouble motivating himself to get up in the morning because he doesn’t have a compelling vision for his life and his business that he is diligently working to create. In the Bible it says… without a vision, the people perish. If you don’t have a compelling vision for your life, business or career it is going to be extremely difficult, if not impossible, to motivate yourself to take the actions you need to take on a daily basis to get the results you want.

You must choose goals, outcomes and visions for your life that are emotionally compelling and exciting for you. The type of things that are so emotionally compelling that you have no problem getting up early and staying up late at night working on them. Why? It won’t seem like work to you. I discussed this at length in my article “You Must Crave Success”. In our two hour session I also helped my client get re-focused on doing the activities that are most important to growing the revenue of his business using the strategies I discuss in my article “The Ultimate Time Management Strategy” as he has been wasting a lot of his time being busy, but being busy doing things that don’t positively increase the bottom line profitability of his business.

So with a compelling vision, and by focusing your energies on the most important actions you can take to make your compelling vision a reality, you will turn your life, career or business around.
