How to deal with overwhelming stress in your career, finances, business, personal life and health, when you become fearful as you try to expand your life outside of your comfort zone to become an even greater version of yourself.
In this video coaching newsletter I discuss an email from a coaching client who I have been coaching for about six months. He originally came to me when he was trying to decide whether or not to end his twenty year mediocre and loveless marriage. For the past few months he has been dating the kind of woman he had always dreamed of. He’s with a woman who knocks his socks off and who feels the same way about him. He often struggles with his fears and limiting beliefs of being unworthy of her love, or that he will lose her to another man. He has never been so in love with a woman before, and it scares the crap out of him sometimes that it will not last.
They have a lot of fun together and their sex life is amazing. His soon to be ex-wife, daughter and most of their mutual friends and wives don’t have anything loving or supportive to say about the decisions he has made to make himself happy. He stresses about paying for two households now and even though his business is doing better than ever, he is entering into a typically lean time of the the year income wise. He has been expanding way outside of his comfort zone these past six months. I discuss what he should focus on to keep things in perspective and to continue to make his life better every day.
“If you want to reach your full potential in every area of your life, you must become comfortable with operating outside of your comfort zone. This will require you to deal with stress, fear, failure and tremendous uncertainty as your actions take you into unfamiliar territory. It’s much easier to be mediocre, play it safe and live a life that is less than what you are capable of living, but this will eventually rob you of your enthusiasm for life and living, and significantly reduce your life expectancy. However, by pushing beyond your comfort zone and taking action in spite of your fears and the potential for failure, you will discover that you can be so much more than you are today. The more you become comfortable with being uncomfortable, the better your quality of life will be and the longer you will live. Happiness and enthusiasm expands your life and your health. Unhappiness and hopelessness takes it from you.” ~ Coach Corey Wayne
