How To Be A Great Leader

What does it take to become a great leader? The word “lead” means to go first. The number one way to be the most effective leader of people is to be at your best personally. What does it mean to be at your best personally? It means that you are focused on leading by example.

Never ask anyone to do anything that you are not willing to do yourself. In the military they teach leaders to lead from the front, not the rear. It means you are on point with your troops risking getting killed just like them. You don’t ask others to risk their necks for you until you have risked yours for theirs.

Before you can teach, you must know. Its easy to teach people how to do things you already know how to do. People follow leaders who can show by their example that their way of thinking and being is superior because it is self-evident by living example.

Gandhi said, “Be the change you want to see in the world” which is another way of saying… lead by example. The true measure of a leader is not how many followers they have, but how many leaders they create.

I try to live by example most of the time. I focus and direct my daily efforts in a balanced way in all areas of my life. As a life coach and a successful man, I strive to put enough energy into my health, business, friendships, personal growth, wealth building, personal relationships, etc. and all areas of my life so I am advancing on all fronts. Meaning I don’t only focus on my business to the point that I ignore my health and every other area of my life that is important.

I have been studying successful people my whole life. I model the success of others in order that I get the same results. This makes it very easy for me to teach because I have already lived and succeeded myself first, before teaching others. I learn the proper way to do things and only after I have succeeded, I share it with others. That’s why my eBooks, articles, audio lessons, video’s and newsletters are all FREE. Why? Once people apply what I teach, they will see that it works. Then after they have confidence in what I teach, they contact me to coach them personally.
